Ron Murray

Ron Murray specializes in getting homes SOLD! Ron began his real estate career with his wife, Pat, in 1989, just weeks after they were married. With a background in business and sales before entering real estate, Ron has spent more than 36 years helping buyers and sellers throughout Southern California.

Ron and Pat live in Torrance, California, and Ron has extensive real estate experience throughout the South Bay and Palos Verdes areas. He is an integral part of The Murray Team at REMAX Empire Properties, working alongside Chris and Andrea Murray and serving clients throughout Southern California.

Ron's background is unusually international. He was born in Paris, France, attended high school in Barcelona, Spain, and later attended Purdue University, where he graduated at age 19. He continued his education at the University of Chicago, studying in its MBA program during an era when his professors included economists Milton Friedman and Art Laffer.

His education and background in business, finance and economics continue to influence the way Ron approaches real estate. His strengths include lightning-quick mathematics, economic forecasting and business analysis. He applies those skills when analyzing comparable sales, helping sellers determine an appropriate pricing strategy, evaluating market conditions and helping buyers understand the financial considerations involved in a purchase.

For homeowners preparing to sell, Ron combines decades of market experience with modern real estate marketing. Depending on the property, that can include professional photography, drone photography, 3D tours, floor plans, property websites, online marketing, social media, neighborhood outreach and extensive MLS exposure. He works with sellers from the initial property evaluation and pricing strategy through marketing, offer review, negotiation and closing.

For buyers, Ron helps identify the type of property and location that fit their goals, evaluate available homes, analyze comparable sales and negotiate the terms of a purchase. His analytical background is particularly valuable when helping clients look beyond the asking price and evaluate the market, property and transaction as a whole.

Throughout his more than 36-year real estate career, Ron has been an integral part of The Murray Team, which has helped clients buy and sell more than 4,000 homes throughout Southern California. He has also conducted numerous real estate sales training seminars and has frequently been called upon to speak with real estate professionals about economic forecasting, future real estate trends and sales techniques.

Ron's competitive interests outside of real estate are equally distinctive. He became a European champion in bridge in only his third year playing the game and has competed and placed at the World Series of Poker. He also enjoys ballroom dancing. The analytical thinking, strategy and competitive nature behind those interests are many of the same qualities Ron has brought to his real estate career.

Today, Ron brings more than three decades of real estate experience, a deep background in business and economics, strong negotiating skills and an analytical approach to buyers and sellers throughout Torrance, the South Bay, Palos Verdes and surrounding Southern California communities.
